The Rescued Feast: Earth Day At EATON HK
We’re excited to share that we’ve teamed up with EATON HK to mark one of the biggest days of the year in the sustainability calendar. For the first time, CHOMP’s The Rescued Feast concept will be held at Terrible Baby for a daytime brunch buffet from 12pm to 3pm on 26 April 2026. We can’t wait to see you there!
The unique dining experience continues to evolve through collaborations with new Chef’s ready to take on the challenge of transforming food surplus and scraps, into an upscale culinary feast. Stepping up to the plate for The Rescued Feast: Earth Day at EATON is EATON HK’s Executive Chef Alex Lee - a Hong Kong-based chef with over two decades of culinary experience spanning some of the world's most prestigious kitchens and Michelin-starred restaurants. Guests of the event can expect a unique twist on his style that blends Western techniques with a deep understanding of Chinese cookery.
Speaking on the collaboration, Executive Chef Alex Lee said: “At EATON, we are always striving to reduce food waste as much as possible. To put that philosophy on show through The Rescued Feast will be a new experience for myself and team - we’ll have roughly 24 hours to decide the menu and transform the donated food items into an inspiring buffet for 200 people.”
Food waste remains a significant issue in Hong Kong, with over 3,000 tonnes of food discarded daily, according to the Environmental Protection Department. This wastage contributes to the city's mounting landfill problems and environmental degradation. The Rescued Feast aims to spotlight this pressing problem by turning food surplus and scraps into gourmet meals, demonstrating the potential of rescued food. This event not only provides an exceptional dining experience but also serves as a platform to educate the public on the importance of food waste reduction and sustainable practices.
Alongside an exciting array of food options, guests can expect lively DJ beats, Terrible Baby’s line up of eclectic cocktails (with a welcome glass of prosecco or soft drink), and a packed CHOMP tote with gifts and vouchers from friends of the brand.
